faux 3d Map DIY

several days ago(before my new semester began),i followed the tutorial to draw a CASINO Map of Sydney.

first step,you need to have a map sketch,(for saving time,i use a screencut google's map.)

open your illustrator.file>place,place the map.use a "pen"tool , stroke size choose:25pt,stroke color choose:orange.then i drown the high way path."ctr+C"then "Ctr+B"back sure the copy path is exactly the same position as the first one,choose red color,stroke size is 27pt(this step is create the outline effect of the path~)

and the major streets,stroke size:20pt.color:yellow(as the first one create a outline stroke color)
